Ron is probably the poorest dude I know, he's lost in a sea of debt with no life raft to speak of, no buoy to cling onto... But they say every man has to hit rock bottom before he climbs up to the top of a great mountain OR at least that's what I say, but I wouldn't know anything about that because I've never hit rock bottom.
It's about time Ron found his keys and locked up some wide open doors in his life and this truck is hopefully the beginning of that. He's got a legit 8-4, Monday thru Saturday job lined up delivering car parts in North County. I think this is the beginning of Ron's rise to the top of that great mountain...
I thought it would be good idea to throw together a little Q&A with Ron to figure out more about his new ride and future plans, check what Ron had to say below...
Name: Ron Jay Pitcher
Years driving: Uh.. got that license thingy when I was 16, had a truck It blew up. Had a car shortly after It got towed away into the abyss. A good 4 years later to present day and I've taken out a small loan of $1200 dollars from a good friend so I could buy this truck and get a F/T job as a parts delivery guy. WEEKEND WARRIOR!! Only sundays off though...
Years without a vehicle: About 4 years or so.
Year, make and model of your NEW old vehicle?
84 Chevy S10 Tahoe. A whole year older than myself, haha.
How much did you pay for this vehicle? Where did you even find enough money to buy a vehicle??
$1000 for the truck and a bit more to transfer everything over to my name, that I'm still in the process of doing. Technically its not even mine yet, Haa.. Shit. I took out a loan from a good friend of mine who will remain anonymous.
Odds of this car lasting longer than a month?
Fair to extremely good. If it doesn't last my debt with family and friends will become irreparable and I will become homeless.
What do you intend to do with this vehicle?
I will work heavily, transport fellow two wheelers, take my babe to dinner and make many trips to the recycling center.
